There is nothing more us Brit’s like than a good cuppa! Oh wait yes there is tea AND cake! It was always Hetty’s goal to be able to give customers honest and quality produce, but it didn't feel right serving homemade cakes made from carefully sourced local produce with dusty old teabags with crushed up leaves from who knows where. Hetty wanted to create her own range of quality loose leaf tea’s that she was just as proud of as her cakes, so she could make sure that she was giving her customers the best afternoon tea experience possible!
The current selection of black teas is made with two main types of Indian leaves:
Makes up our Earl Grey is from Makaibari garden. It's organic and was one of the first gardens to convert to organic status. The garden is bio diverse and 70% is under natural forest.
The base for Cotswold Cuppa and The Chai Life is from Belseri estate, owned by the Patel family. They are organic and run a closed loop garden, which is carbon neutral. The tea was picked in the 2nd flush season. It’s a whole leaf orthodox tea (hand rolled), unlike most Assam which is CTC (crush, tear curl).
Hetty’s tea collection is just starting out but will be expanding soon into Green tea’s and Herbal teas to make sure we can provide you with a tea for any occasion or to pair with any cake!
